Little Red Riding Hood
“O granny what great big teeth
you’ve got!”
At that moment the wolf jumped out of
the bed and grabbed Little Red. Little Red was terrified but the wolf told her
to calm down, for he did not want to hurt her. The wolf then picked up Little Red
with his giant hairy arms and slowly carried her to the cellar. Little Red was
still quite young at this age and was very naive, she allowed herself to be
prisoner because the wolf was so nice to her. That night as Little Red was
sleeping on a hay bale the wolf had made her in the cellar, the wolf sneaked
down into her bed with a knife. He slowly made his way into the bed and moved
the knife close to her neck. Little Red awoke to find the wolf flesh with her
skin and the knife at her head, she was about to scream but then the wolf
started to speak, “Honey, I hope you know that I only want what is best for
you, and sometimes we all have to do things we don’t want.” The wolf at that
moment quickly moved the knife cutting off all of her hair, the few strands
that he missed he quickly cut with his claws.
The next morning the wolf went into town
dressed as Little Red for he had taken all of her clothes. His plan had been to
steal food and maybe some liquor for later. That was when he heard someone
calling Little Red’s name. He was about to run because he thought his cover had
been blown when a man hit him with a stick near the ankles. It was Little Red’s
blind brother Charlie. Charlie was delighted that he had found his sister and
quickly led her back home. The wolf now outside of Little Red’s house.
When the wolf entered the house he was
quickly greeted by Little Red’s family, and the wonderful smell of soup. Little
Red’s mother gave the wolf a big hug. She said she was so nervous that she had
gotten lost. Her hand slid down the wolf’s back and she quickly jumped
backward. The rest of the family did not notice this sudden jump but hugged and
padded Little Red as if she was not the wolf. The mother asked the wolf to meet
her in the kitchen to help prepare the food. The mother then shared with the
wolf that she knew he was the wolf but that if they mentioned it she would have
been killed by him or the father would have killed him and they would have no
idea what happened to Little Red. She then asked about poor Little Red. The
wolf told her that she was his now and that no harm would come to her as long
as he was brought food ever night for as long as he lived.
Every night the mother prepared food and
sent it with Charlie to grandma’s house so Llittle Red would be spared. The
family had no idea that Little Red had been captured because the mother told
them that Little Red was learning her grandmother’s skill. Years went by and
the bond between Little Red and the wolf strengthened. They became the best of
friends and she no longer had to sleep in the cellar, she slept with the wolf
in the house. Little Red was now in her late teens and the wolf had taught her
everything he knew, she was an expert hunter, quiet as a fox, and could speak
with all the animals. She had forgotten her family that still sent the soup
every night and had taken the name Lazu.
One night as Lazu and the wolf were
eating their supper, the wolf held out his paw and Lazu put her hand in his.
They just sat there in silence each enjoying their soup, which had such a rich
flavor. Then for the first time there was a dessert for their meal, it was a
sweet, blackish, brown color substance, which we would call chocolate. They both
loved it. After eating the wolf said it was time for bed, he went upstairs and
jumped into bed. Lazu cleaned up their meal, undressed, and then snuck up the
stairs. She leapt upon the wolf and tried to scare him but the wolf was used to
this nightly ritual. Instead of being scared they both just laughed. That night
they became closer than they ever had before.
Lazu woke up on the wolf’s chest the
next morning and the wolf was not looking to well. The wolf said he had been
poisoned by the town people last night with that gift of chocolate. Lazu wept
deeply, and the wolf died later that day. The weeks went on and Lazu still got
the gifts of food, but she destroyed them holding a grudge on her family. She
found out she was with child and became really excited and was going to tell
the wolf but she realized the wolf had died and was buried in the back of the
house. She went to his grave every night and cried at the moon looking at the
makeshift grave stone. One night she felt like her insides were moving, she was
going to have the baby that night.
She screamed and clenched her teeth,
sweat dripping from her brow she push with all her might. The baby came our
slowly, right on to the grave of the wolf. She was so happy and looked right
into her child’s eyes. They were yellow just like the wolf, and had hair just
like the wolf, and she was also a girl. She named her Sedu.
Lazu raised Sedu for many years to hate
the villagers, for what they did to her father. Sedu was half wolf, half human,
she was the first werewolf. She was smarter than Lazu and more cunning and
stronger than the wolf had been. As Sedu was reaching the age of 14 she
starting becoming attracted to Charlie, the blind man that brought the food to
them ever night. They now once again ate the food out of necessity. She tried
for many weeks to seduce Charlie as was her mother’s plan, and then one night
it worked. As a result Sedu became with child, but during the process she had
accidently eaten Charlie.
The town’s people now knew about the
wolf for the mother of Little Red now very old had told the towns people of the
horror that had occurred to both her children. The town’s people outraged
decided to try and fight Sedu and Lazu. Lazu and Sedu were much too strong for
them and were slaughtered the men that attacked them, almost from the sheer hatred
that they had for them. The years went by and Sedu’s baby wolf boy was raised.
And they all lived in the woods together as a family. The town’s people always
warned their children of the wolf people that lived in the woods and told of
the story of Little Red Riding hood. The story about how she had been eaten by
the wolf, they had no idea she still lived in the forest.
